A dental second opinion is a professional review of your current diagnosis, symptoms, or treatment plan by an independent licensed dentist. This allows you to explore your options, clarify next steps, and make an informed decision about your oral health.

Dental Second Opinion is available to anyone who would like an independent review of their dental concerns. You do not need a referral. Our service is helpful for people who:

  • Have been recommended a treatment but are unsure about proceeding
  • Want to compare options before starting treatment
  • Need help understanding the risks, benefits, or alternatives
  • Are experiencing symptoms and want a trusted review

We follow a secure and straightforward process:

  • Complete the intake and consent forms
  • Upload your dental X-rays or images (optional but highly recommended)
  • Select your preferred service: emailed report, virtual consultation, or emergency consultation
  • Receive your report and expert guidance

Dental X-rays are not required, but they are strongly recommended. Having access to images makes it easier for our team to provide an accurate and complete review — especially for concerns involving wisdom teeth, restorations, root canals, or gum health.

If you do not have access to your X-rays, you can request them from your dental provider. Dental records belong to you, and most clinics will provide them at no cost.

Every patient receives a written report by email that outlines our observations and recommendations. If you choose a virtual consultation or emergency consultation, this report is included, and you will also meet with one of our dentists for a secure 15-minute video conversation.

You can choose the option that suits you best:

  • Emailed Report – $75 CAD
  • Virtual Consultation + Report – $99 CAD
  • Emergency Consultation (24-hour turnaround) – $149 CAD

All fees are listed in Canadian dollars. Pricing is automatically adjusted at checkout based on your location.
